• Arun Jha was born and brought up in Lonavla in Pune district of Maharashtra state in India on 23 July 1971.
• His Late Father, Dr. Pitamber Jha after his MA, PhD in Sanskrit had moved to work in the Kaivalyadhama Yoga Research Institute in Lonavla in Pune district of Maharashtra state in India in 1969 from his village PaliMohan in Madhubani district in Bihar state in India.
• Arun Jha joined the National Defence Academy, Khadakwasla in June 1988, and was commissioned into the Indian Army on 13 June 1992.
• In April 2002; while he was posted in Jabalpur in Madhya Pradesh state in India; he (Arun Jha) came in contact with the teachings of HH Sri Sri Ravi Shankar, Founder of the “Art of Living Foundation” HQ in Bengaluru in Karnataka state in India – and his life force took this direction of contributing towards the development of Bihar state in his own small way.
• So; he took Premature Retirement from his Military service in the Indian Army (with Pension) in Feb 2013.
